![]() When the spring finally turns the engine there is almost no resistance in the pull cord and all your pulling force goes right to pulling the cord right out of the pulley, or snapping it. I see more complaints of broken pull cords from these (and in Husky broken ratchet pawls because this is a consumer low end model feature). It's becoming more prevalent these days in the models from all over - there is a spring that the pull cord winds which when fully wound pulls over the engine rather than the pulling of the cord turning the engine.
